Bryant Mckinnie Visits The Fins Takes A Physical

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/2013/04/ireland-addresses-draftmuschamp-discusses-gator-rookies-on-fins-heat-canes-.html#storylink=addthis

Bryant Mckinnie is apparently visiting fins today. In my opinion this is Jeff Ireland playing the game and applying pressure to either Eric Winston or the Kansas City Chiefs to bring down their asking price for Bandon Albert. They currently want a 2nd round pick, and its said Miami is not offering anything higher than a 3rd. A source close to the situation says that todays visit involves a physical but nothing more, no deal to offered, or made. Personally I think Ireland is just kicking tires, adn doing his due dilligence. Mckinnie has suffered with weight issues through out his carrer, along with several off the field issues.

Eric Winston and Miami in Talks

Eric Winston seems like a must right now given the fact that unless you view Dallas Thomas a rookie starter we don't have a starting caliber RT on the roster. Reason been that Thomas is more of a developmental project and back up in 2014. The hold up between the Fins and the former Cane seems to be his desire for more commitment. This is quite understandable given he has had to relocate the past two years from Texas to Kansas to destination unknown. According to the media he is looking for a multi year deal and a decent amount of guaranteed money. At this point it would surprise me if both parties don't come to an agreement.

Jason Cole Draft Grades

Preety refreshing for the fins to be getting some positive feedback. Yahoo's Jason Cole gave them an A and Mel Kiper JR a B+. only bad grade came from Evan Silva so I dont really take it to seriously. Here are Jason Coles thoughts on the draft and why he gave them an A

Dion Jordan Likely To Miss OTAs Due to NFL Rules

Just like former Oregon duck Josh Kaddu last year we are unlikely to see Jordan until August. The reasoning is that Oregon University has a quarters system in place so therefore Jordan is yet to graduate from college. NFL rules state that if a player hasn't graduated from college he is not eligible to participate in any team activities. This is quite and inconvenience given OTAs are key to a rookies development we saw this last year with OT Jon Martin who struggled a bit. Reasoning behind his struggles was that he missed OTAs and couldn't report to a full practice until August
