Mike Sherman Thinks Tannehill Will Be The Most Improved QB This Season

Mike Sherman has a very strong conviction that Ryan Tannehill will be the most improved QB from year one to year two. Personally I tend to agree, o so RG3 and Andrew Luck made the playoffs last year and all that. Here is the thing though Tannehill started 19 games in college under Sherman. Almost twice less than either Luck or RG3, so maybe Tannehill won’t make it as far as RG3 and Luck but he will make a bigger leap from year 1 to year 2 in my opinion. I am grateful he started day 1 because now he has an additional 16 games of NFL experience under his belt. Another key factor to keep in mind is the 100 million dollar plus Ross spent on weapons this past free agency period. Mike Wallace will open up everything underneath for our new seam threat TE and slot WR Brandon Gibson. Maybe we are not the most talented team in the NFL, but we do have players who can cause mismatches. Isn’t this what football is all about? Exploding your opponents’ weaknesses? I believe that with the acquired players on Offense during this past offseason Tannehill will be able to lead this team to a 10 win season. For more on the matter here is profootball talk's article on Sherman's comments http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/05/01/mike-sherman-tannehill-will-be-most-improved-quarterback-in-2013/

Eric Winston to Workout For The Fins Today

Reports surfaced yesterday that former Cane Eric Winston was working out for Miami today. Now this is intriguing because the Dolphins have been working out every possible suitor to fill in the Oline. From former superbowl winner Bryant Mckinnie, to former Falcons RT Tyson Clabo, along with Winston Justice. This are my personal thoughts on the matter. Winston and Miami both know what they want, Eric wants a long term deal, and Miami wants a stopgap. This is important to keep in mind because before the draft Miami had not considered anyone but Winston and both sides seemed far apart. Suddenly Jeff starts working out every available OT in the market and right after that Winston is working out for us coincidence? I think not I think Jeff was trying to apply pressure and its obviously working. Keep in mind that Winston and Miami have been in touch for a while, and both have an idea of what they want. This is key because it means that a deal can happen very soon if the workout goes smoothly. For now that's all it is a workout but given the struggle it took for both parties to reach this point it has added value. Things can move very quickly from this point and I have a feeling something will get done either way in the next 48 hours. Here is a link for more on the matter.
